My editor Krista showed me this lovely Green GR305 Palette by Shiseido that she had recently been given – & these are such pretty colours, but the question I hear so often with eye shadow palettes is – how do I use these?
There’s no right and wrong with palettes because the options are quite endless. But I got the opportunity to have a play on our lovely intern Madeline and her gorgeous face so here’s just one easy way of using these greens!

So Madeline isn’t a big makeup wearer; so I did something softer, not too blended out around her eye.. I didn’t want to scare her! I used a small amount of Laura Mercier’s Pewter Eye Shadow too on the very outer corner.
Using a small Pencil Brush I kept the shadows near to her lash line, using the lighter shade toward the inner corner of the eye, and the darker towards the outer corners. Dont be afraid to mix up the colours, I used a bit of each, just so it blended to look soft!
Instead of black I used a dark brown liner in her waterline which was MAC Cosmetics Rich Experience Pro Longwear Pencil, and I didn’t use liner on the top of the lashes, I wanted the green to show through behind her lashes.
Madeline mentioned that she liked natural looking lashes so I used MAC False Lashes Extreme Black Mascara as it has a very packed bristly brush which coats the lashes evenly and not too thick.
