I’m fairly boring when it comes to nail varnish. I’m a glossy nude or pale pink girl through and through. I only really go colour crazy when it comes to my feet. But if any time of year can tempt me to experiment it’s summer. Point me in the direction of a rainbow of pastel colours and I’m like a kid in a bright and beautiful candy shop.
So you can imagine my reaction when the new Revlon Nail Art Sun Candy collection came to my attention. Each Revlon Nail Art Sun Candy (£7.99) varnish boasts a double-ended wand, one with a bottle of the main colour, choices of which range from the nude, peaches and pale pinks of my everyday nail wardrobe, and others ranging from icy lilac, a sunny yellow and a beautiful Forget Me Not-esque blue. The other end is a shimmering reflection of the colour on the opposite side. Tiny glitter flecks glint from within a similarly coloured glossy varnish. The glitter is so fine enough to make the effect incredibly subtle.
My favourite colour might be Solar Flare, a pretty peach matched with an iridescent sparkle. It makes a great pedicure choice. I even add a swipe of the glitter end over a carefully selected statement nail to give my glossy french pink manicure a new summer-trends-inspired dimension.
