London-based fashion designer Bella Freud has teamed up with perfume designer Azzi Glasser to launch her debut fragrance collection, Bella Freud Parfum. The collection is inspired by three distinct moods and women, and model Gala Gordon is appearing in the ad campaigns. Whenever I know Azzi is the ‘nose’ behind a new perfume I get excited, she always manages to produce feminine and sexy fragrances that feel like they belong to you. You won’t smell like everyone else when you wear them, perfumes always smell different on each individual anyway but Azzi seems to blend together her ingredients in a way that stand out from the crowd. This trio of fragrances are very unique and special, the packaging is so stylish you won’t want to part with any of it.
The first scent in the Bella Freud Parfum collection, Je t’aime Jane, uses a blend of jasmine night flower, orange blossom and sandalwood to create a light fragrance inspired a playful, free spirited type of girl. Ginsberg is God, a fragrance for both men and women, is inspired by a bookish poet and is scented with black pepper, elemi and wormwood. The third scent, 1970, evokes the image of a carefree and pleasure-seeking woman using Rose de Mai, saffron, and Frankincense. My favourite is Je t’aime Jane, as I love jasmine and orange blossom, this is so pretty, I love it.

Harvey Nichols has also released a collection honoring Bella Freud with some of her fantastic signature jumpers and scented candles. These two make for a very cool and stylish duo, I’d like to see them do more together please.
