I wasn’t really looking for a new foundation. I find it quite unsettling to experiment in that department. So I rarely do – I am a Nars Mont Blanc and that’s the way I like it. Creamy but easy. I don’t want it to be too heavy, I don’t want it to be too light… there I was in Benefit bizarrely attracted to their liquid foundation called Hello Flawless. It gives a light to medium coverage, natural looking with a hint of luminous.
Oil free and super hydrating. I had noticed my skin becoming very dry so the idea that this was going to radiate my dull, flaking skin appealed to me. Oxygen facial in your foundation sounded good. Plus you can get sun damage even in winter months. Most modern foundations have an SPF of 15 but this has an SPF of 25. If you’ve got time, the Stay Flawless primer makes everything go on easier and stay on longer. And the flawlessness they promise is actually delivered. I like its texture. Not over juicy, although it is moisturising. It gives a subtle luminosity. It doesn’t even look like make-up at all. It’s £27.00 so it’s definitely not one of the more expensive offerings, yet it’s dependable and high quality.
