Another big year for the Billboard Music Awards as talent flocked to Las Vegas to celebrate the best of the best in the music industry. Many of the celebrities take this award show opportunity to show of their more creative, edgy style.
Here are some of our favourite red carpet looks:
Rihanna and Ariana Grande opted for a more “edgy elegant” appearance as Rihanna rocked a vintage dress, and Ariana sported her classic high ponytail.
It was all sparkly fun for Meghan Trainor, Z Lala, and Kesha, with Meghan performing her hit song “No” and Kesha earning herself a standing ovation with her powerful performance of “It Ain’t Me, Babe” with Ben Folds.
The YouTuber personalities made their appearances as well with comedian Grace Helbig and violinist Lindsey Stirling. Lindsey joined Celine Dion to accompany her during her performance, and both cheered on fellow YouTube start-up Troye Sivan as he performed “Youth.”
Some of the best performances included Stevie Wonder and Madonna’s tribute to their friend, Prince. Decked out in violet, the duo performed a moving rendition “Purple Rain” for the audience.
By now, everyone has heard Fifth Harmony’s “Work From Home” and the girl gang gave a feisty performance on stage.
Even though Adele won the biggest honour with the “Top Artist” award as well as “Top Album”, The Weekend rivaled her as the artist picked up 8 awards.
Even though Adele couldn’t be there, she gave everyone a treat with her new music video “Send My Love (To Your New Lover).” Watch it here:
