Blake Lively is the latest A-List lady to be enrolled in the L’Oréal Paris hall of fame, following quickly behind Lara Stone who was also announced as Global Spokesperson earlier this month. Blake Lively spoke of her recent appointment, saying “I am thrilled and honoured to join the incredible women who represent L’Oréal Paris – from the versatile and motivational brand ambassadors, to all the women who proudly wear L’Oréal Paris each day […] I grew up with the inspiration of their message, ‘We’re worth it’. What an important value to instill in women. That beauty is rooted in confidence. That is key. That is why I’m so proud to be a L’Oréal Paris woman.”
It’s an exciting time for the beauty icon who made her name as the boho-haired Serena Van der Woodsen in Gossip Girl, who has since made her name in box office hits such as The Town and The Private Lives of Pippa Lee as well, of course, as Green Lantern in which she infamously turned brunette and larked around super hero style alongside her now husband, the delectable Ryan Reynolds.
When she’s not beaming her way across the red carpet in her latest Chanel or Alberta Ferretti ensemble, Blake can normally be spotted arm in arm with her beau, blonde hair flying in the wind as they walk the dogs. It seems she shall be a whole lot busier in 2014 though. L’Oréal Paris’ announcement comes just as Blake mentioned that she is likely to be starting her own lifestyle business in the coming year. It seems Blake is ticking all the ‘life achievement’ boxes at the moment, and looking glowingly beautiful as she does it.
“Blake embodies all the modern codes of Hollywood glamour,” said L’Oréal Paris president Chyril Chapuy. “She has become a beauty icon for a whole generation with her gorgeous gold-dipped hair, luminous gaze and drop-dead smile. Today, this strong, charismatic and definitely glowing actress is joining the L’Oréal Paris family. And we’re so proud to welcome her.”
