Having met on the set of film Mr & Mrs Smith back in 2005, it is only 7 years – and almost as many children – later that the A-list pair have finally decided to get engaged. The oscar-winning actress debuted her custom made engagement ring at an event in LA last week, and it didn’t disappoint! The $250,000 rectangular cut diamond was designed by perfectionist Pitt in a year-long collaborated project with jeweller Robert Procop and has been custom-cut to perfectly suit the size and shape of Angelina’s hand.
The decision to marry may well have come after pressure from their brood of kids – three adopted, three biological – who are no doubt thrilled at the announcement. Spokesperson for the couple, Cynthia Pett-Dante, has said that the engagement ‘is a promise for the future’ and ‘at this time’ no wedding date has been set. That may well be the case, but it hasn’t stopped us conjuring up images of Ange in white and speculating. . . I’m thinking white leather!?
