If pastries, scones and biscuits aren’t exactly your ‘cup-of-tea’ for an afternoon meal (pun intended), Brigit’s Bakery has come out with an modern-day twist for the eccentric foodie.
Exclusively in London for the month of August, you can now book a Japanese-style afternoon tea of sushi and gin. The catch? The “restaurant” is actually a 1960 Routemaster London bus that follows a course showcasing some of London’s biggest sights.
While aboard, you can enjoy a meal created by chef Gohei Kishi comprised of nigiri, California rolls, a poké bowl and some sweet items like green tea swiss rolls. And to wash it all down, the meal comes with three complimentary Hayman’s Gin cocktails. Yes, three, but don’t worry — you’re not driving.
The Sushi and Gin Bus Tour will run from 8-9:30pm every Thursday-Saturday in August, and is only available for those 18 and older. So if anyone wants to feed me sashimi whilst gazing at Big Ben, by all means be my guest.
