
The first images of Cara Delevingne as the face of YvesSaintLaurent’s new Baby Doll campaign have finally been revealed. And, as expected, it was totally worth the wait. Cara looks as gorgeous as always (well, as gorgeous as she can when not crossing her eyes and pulling Instagram-worthy faces), with heavily defined strong brows, a soft rose flush on the cheek and a sexy sheeny chignon.
There’s a strong 60s element running through the campaign and Baby Doll range, with Cara dressed in a black long-sleeved mini dress with satin pussy bow neckline and sporting full Twiggy-esque lashes and a 60s inspired cats eye liner flick.
The hero product of the collection, is the new Volume Effet Faux Cils Baby Doll Mascara, a volume-boosting, thickening formula worked into lashes via a moulded plastic wand with short bristles – which incidentally are perfect for defining the shorter lower lashes. Available in four shades, including Fetish Black, Wheedler Brown, Audacious Blue and Indiscreet Purple (my personal pick). There are also five new eyeliners available in Light Golden Brown, Light Blue, Light Amethyst, Golden Reflections (which will be a gorgeous highlight to tanned summer skin) and Rose Babydoll.
To complete the look, YSL are launching a gorgeous fuchsia Lacque Couture nail shade, called Rose Baby Doll, and a matching YSL Glossy Lip Stain that goes by the same name. Perfect for matching your lips to your tips.
