Global Lust by Chrissy Iley
I’ve only recently understood the smoky eye nude lips impact. Mainly because I’m a more is more person, and if my lips are too bland, too dull I feel they’re just not enough and would slip into my face.

That combined with a constant flaking winter lip has called for some curious colour combos. The perfect colour is very rarely the perfect moisturising texture and vice versa.
Lip gloss sometimes accumulates in a sticky mound and gets stuck to my teeth. It’s true to say I’m not very good with lips.
At the moment I’m obsessed with the Chantecaille Brilliant Gloss in Sweet. It looks a little orange in the tube but it goes on smoothly and spectacularly creates a nude fleshy lip. It has instant plumping without any of the stinging that you feel is bad for your lips and dries them up. The texture is like padded silk.
Your lips feel pillowy soft and soothed. Apparently this is to do with the wheat protein allowing lips to absorb water, which gently swells them and fills tiny lip wrinkles.
Volume without irritation, moisture without colour compromise, lips that don’t flake.
