Not content with having model of the moment, Cara Delevingne’s beautiful face splashed all over the Burberry fashion campaigns, creative director, Christopher Bailey has also enlisted the Brit model to front the brand’s new Burberry Body fragrance campaign, for the latest Body Tender scent.
Surprisingly, it’s another first for Delevingne who, despite having more catwalk and campaign appearances than we could possibly calculate (math isn’t a strong point), has yet to front a fragrance.
Shot by Mario Testino on the River Thames, Cara and her piercing blue eyes are set against a soft, dreamy and languid London landscape. Dressed in a tan suede Burberry trench, and little else, Cara’s infamous brows are beautifully emboldened, her hair soft and wind-blown and her makeup fresh and undone, perfectly embodying the spirit of the Burberry Body Tender Collection; understated and feminine, with a quintessential Burberry-girl playfulness. The scent combines citrus-fresh notes of lemon and crisp green apple with the dewy softness of English rose and white jasmine, for a gentle warmth.
