Relocating from its recent home in Tokyo to New York City, where it will launch in 2 days time, The Little Black Jacket exhibition showcases 113 images of celebrities, models and muses, handpicked and photographed by Karl Lagerfeld and styled by Carine Roitfeld, wearing various incarnations of Chanel’s infamous little black jacket.
For those not lucky enough to be jet-setting across the Atlantic in the next couple of weeks, the exhibition has launched digitally, over at www.thelittleblackjacket.chanel.com where, currently, you can watch insider ‘Making Of’ videos, showcasing not only how the Roitfeld-curated images were created, but also how the iconic 20th century fashion design icon itself is handmade in Chanel’s Parisian atelier.
