Gucci has announced today that Charlotte Casiraghi will be the face of its new Gucci Cosmetics collection. The campaign, photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot, will be unveiled this September to launch their new cosmetics line, which will feature Gucci Eye, Gucci Face, Gucci Lip, Gucci Nail as well as brushes and prep products. A digital film will also form part of the campaign, directed by Fabien Baron.
‘Charlotte was a natural choice as she embodies the modern iconic Gucci woman. Aside from her striking beauty, she is sophisticated, successful and iconic. A wonderful ambassador for Gucci,’ said Giannini.

Charlotte was equally as enthusiastic, saying ‘I have really enjoyed my relationship with Frida over these last four years and I am now excited to work with her again on this signature project. I have great admiration for her both as a designer and a strong and visionary woman.’

This is not the first time that the Monaco beauty will have modelled for Gucci. She met Giannini through a shared love of horse riding, and he designed an exclusive equestrian wardrobe for her to wear whilst competing in the Global Champions Tour show jumping event, and she has fronted the Gucci Forever Now campaign shot by Peter Linbergh, Inez & Vinoodh, Mert & Marcus and Bruce Weber. So she’s hardly an ingenue in the Gucci pin up girl stakes.
We can’t wait to see what her latest venture has in store.
