Donna Air is joining TK Maxx to fight childhood cancer, with Christmas socks!
Wednesday, December 6 is the first official Christmas Sock Day. The day was founded by TK Maxx as a new charity initiative to help fundraise for Cancer Research UK Kids & Teens, an organisation that raises money for research specifically into cancers affecting children, teens and young adults. Through raising money and awareness, the charity hopes to better understand these cancers and find kinder treatments and cures.
Go ahead, grab your favourite pair of Christmas socks and snap a photo. For every #socksie uploaded on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram, TK Maxx will donate £1 to Cancer Research UK Kids & Teens. In addition, the retailer is selling an official pair of charity socks at stores nationwide from £2.99 for kids and £4.99 for adults, with £.99 of each sock sale going directly to Cancer Research UK Kids & Teens.
Donna Air is joining the cause, urging Brits to wear their festive footwear to raise awareness via social media, “I am pleased to be supporting TK Maxx on its first ever Christmas Sock Day. The campaign aims to raise donations to fund research into children’s cancers, this is a matter close to my heart and I have been on a committee for Cancer Research UK for four years. It is a fantastic initiative and I urge everyone to get involved by buying a pair of charity Christmas socks and sharing their #socksie on social media” she said.
Get involved by sharing your own #socksie on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter to fight childhood cancer.
