How much would you spend on kids clothing?
It was only going to be a matter of time before Diane von Furstenberg, mother, grandmother and multi-tasking fashion maven, turned her hand to childrenswear. Due to launch in the UK at the end of March, the New York fashion designer, following in the footsteps of Stella McCartney, has created a girls-only kidswear line for American chain Gap. Incorporating bright shades, bold prints and a number of the original DVF hibiscus and leaf motifs, the range includes capri leggings, t-shirt dresses as well as summertime accessories such as espadrilles, sunhats and sunglasses.

Whilst the DVF wrap dress that made von Furstenberg famous back in the 70s remains an iconic, wardrobe classic for many due to its multi-purpose schoolrun-to-desk-to-dinner simplicity, we simply can’t imagine children have quite the same nursery-to-sandpit-to-bed needs for the miniature version.
There is no doubt that most yummy-mummys will be hard pressed to deny just how adorable the range is, and yet, should the price points echo those of Stella McCartney’s kids range for the company last year, even the most stylish of mummies may struggle to justify a splurge. Would You Spend That Much?
