French fashion house Dior has been no stranger to celebrities as spokesmodels over the years. We have loved watching the ‘Dior woman’ evolve and decided we would gather some of our favorites into a guide of who’s who and what they do, going back over a decade in Dior’s modern history. From golden girls to Parisian beauties to seductive stunners, check out some of Dior’s dolls throughout the years.
Charlize Theron

Charlize Theron and Dior go way back. Her relationship with the fashion house has lasted longer than multiple of her high profile personal relationships and continues to go strong. Known most prominently as the face of J’adore Dior, Charlize started working with the brand over a decade ago in 2004. Her golden locks make way for her golden looks with the brand, dawning gorgeous, warm gowns both on and off the advertisements. Most famous for her adventurous commercials doing everything from climbing up a string of pearls to stripping down to nothing but her Dior perfume, Theron stuns as a golden goddess, with one slogan even being ‘The future is gold’. The ads have developed over time, but still one thing remains, Charlize and Dior, together, are gold.
Marion Cotillard

Marion Cotillard and her match up with Dior began back in 2008 when, after her role in “La Vie en Rose”, she signed on to represent the ever popular Lady Dior bag. Worn by the likes of Princess Diana, Diane Kruger, and Carla Bruni, the First Lady of France, Lady Dior bags are what put Marion on the Dior map, and since she has dawned some of the most stunning Dior couture dresses for the red carpet, starred in print campaigns, and even starred in a short film for the fashion house, “Dior Noir“. We continuously love to see this French pairing working together to epitomize all that is Parisian chic.
Natalie Portman
Spotted by Dior in 2010 after her role in Black Swan, Natalie Portman twirled her way into her role for Miss Dior Cherie, as well as several other beauty campaigns for the brand that followed. The actress with a high sense of self and of ethics made sure that partnering with a major fashion label did not mean she put her values on the wayside. Every red carpet ensemble she wears from Dior, the brand tailors to Portman’s veganism and makes sure no animal was harmed in the making of that outfit. With commercials shot by Sofia Coppola and Tim Walker, as well as numerous red carpet events with the brand, we believe Natalie Portman and Dior are going to be staying together for years to come.
Jennifer Lawrence

Landing her first campaign in 2012 after the success of Silver Linings Playbook, Jennifer Lawrence was given the role as an ambassador for Miss Dior. In the years following our favorite Oscar-winning actress/girl next door has become a full-on Dior girl, complete with multiple print campaigns and endless red carpet moments. Lets not forget the famous trip up the stairs to claim her Oscar in 2013, all the while wearing a decadent Dior gown. Her latest campaign for Dior Addict lipstick comes in print ads as well as her first commercial for the brand. There’s even a hashtag for the campaign, #Shinedontbeshy, something that fits Jen’s personality perfectly we would say. Hopefully there’s a lot more of JLaw and Dior collaborations soon!
Rihanna

Just this past year, Rihanna became the a spokesperson for French fashion house, Dior. Her historic role as the brands first Black ambassador comes to an industry that still struggles with a lack of diversity, and we could not be more excited that Rihanna was there to come into that role with her signature flare. As we’ve seen with her collaborations with Puma, MAC, and Balmain, Rihanna has a way of making herself and her style known, which we are sure will continue to happen with Dior. Her first campaign, seen above, was for the brand’s widely popular “Secret Gardens” videos, shot in the gorgeous venue of Versailles. The accompanying adverts are just as gorgeous and provide an edge to Dior that only Rihanna can provide. .We cannot wait to see what’s next for Rihanna x Dior.
