Peter Fonda is suing Dolce & Gabanna as well as the luxury American department store, Nordstrom, for “injuries to his peace, happiness, feelings, goodwill, reputation, image, loss of fair market value of his services and dilution of his current and future publicity value,” reports WWD.
It sounds to me as though the actor is being a tad dramatic – which is what actors do best. But isn’t another endearing quality about the likes of the elite their ability to make anything a publicity stunt?
The cause of all the the emotional strain the 73-year-old was recently experienced was due to a selection of T-shirts featuring his character in the 1963 film, Easy Rider. Fonda wrote, produced, and starred in this early-sixties hit, and apparently wants to do all in his power to forget about it.
Reportedly seeking at least £3.9 million – as well was all the legal fees and profits made by the tees – for the use of his image without permission. Seems like Fonda wants to have his T-shirt and wear it too.
