East meets West this autumn as beauty brand Revlon fuses actress Emma Stone’s breathtaking, flame-haired beauty with the colours of the orient for their Shanghai AW12 colour collection.
Speaking about the collection, Revlon’s Creative Director Gucci Westman explained, “I was really inspired by many of the romantic films that came from China – the sets, the saturated colours and the elegance and femininity of the beauty looks.”
“When it came time to bring this collection to life, I really thought about how a western cool girl would adopt all of these influences into her beauty look… That is why I made a sheerer red lip (Red Lacquer), it’s this gorgeous tomato, a big colour for the season, with a surprising texture – it kind of gives your lips a wash of red. With the eyes, the cream to powder texture of the metallics allow you to wear these striking colours but with more transparency”
