It’s been a while since longtime actor and director Clint Eastwood has appeared on screen, but in this film alongside names like Justin Timberlake, John Goodman, and Amy Adams this drama is sure to please all audiences.
In the film, Gus Lobel, played by Clint Eastwood, has been one of the best scouts in baseball for decades, but age is starting to catch up with him. The front office of the Atlanta Braves is starting to question his judgment, especially with the country’s hottest batting star on deck for the draft, Johnny Flanagan, played by Justin Timberlake.
The one person who might be able to help is also the one person Gus would never ask, his daughter. Mickey, played by Amy Adams, is an associate at a high-powered Atlanta law firm. Against her better judgment and Gus’s objections, Mickey joins him on his latest scouting trip to North Carolina, jeopardizing her own career to save his. Spending time together for the first time in years, each makes new discoveries about the past and present that could reshape both their futures.
The film is set to premiere in the UK on 30 November 2012.
