Flashback to the 90s when boy bands dominated the charts, Friends began and the easiest technology fix was blowing into game cartridges. Growing up a 90s kid, the spookiest book series on the block was Goosebumps. The series encompassed stories about mummies, zombies and even a ventriloquist’s dummy. Looking back, these short stories weren’t the least bit traumatizing, but we are feeling a bit of 90s nostalgia upon hearing news of a Goosebumps movie release coming August 2015.

Jack Black is set to star in the film adaptation as R.L. Stine, the author of the young adult horror series. As Stine’s imaginary demons begin to leave the page and enter the real world, his niece, Hannah, (Odeya Rush) and friend, Zach (Dylan Minnette) must work to stop the monsters.
Jack Black made an appearance at San Diego Comic Con to promote Goosebumps and hopes that the film adaptation will be a way for the whole family to experience the horror genre compared to the gruesome horrors today.
