You may have heard that Toby Jones, Stephen Mangan, Zoë Wanamaker and Pearl Mackie will be starring in the Harold Pinter’s The Birthday Party, but now they have announced the cast will also be joined by Peter Wright and Tom Vaughan-Lawlor.
Directed by Ian Rickson, the production will run at the Harold Pinter Theatre, 60 years since its first debut.
The story line is as follows. Set in a sleepy seaside boarding house, the arrival of a couple of strangers disrupts the inhabitants of the house and soon an innocent birthday party turns into a nightmare as Pinter’s mysterious dark-comic masterpieces highlight the absurd terrors of the everyday.
The Birthday Party will run from 9th January to 14th April 2018 with an Opening Night on Thursday 18th January 2018. Tickets are now on sale.
