Monique Lhuillier

This Fashion Week, Monique Lhuillier’s floral and feminine collection with a psychedelic twist took inspiration from the free flowing era on everything from the clothes to the hair. Bob Recine for Moroccanoil created soft waves in all the models’ hair for a 70’s look with a modern twist that fit perfectly with the collection. This look is a great alternative to our typical heat damaging wave hairstyles.
GET THE LOOK
1. Prep damp hair with a cocktail of Moroccanoil Treatment and Moroccanoil Volumizing Mousse.
2. Next, take a 1” section of hair and mist with Moroccanoil Luminious Hairspray. Create an S-shape and clip to the head. Continue until all the hair is clipped.
3. Next, apply a piece of foil to each section and use a hair dryer to dry. The heat will set the wave.
4. Once hair is dry, remove the clips and foil. Gently separate the hair to reveal a soft wave.
5. Add a pea size amount of Moroccanoil Smoothing Lotion to finish.
Tory Burch

Every girl’s dream is to effortlessly swipe their hair up into a bun and have it look good. Tory Burch’s Fall/Winter 2016 collection’s hair does just that. Giving a nod to the 70’s with their own understated yet chic look, the idea of ease with your hair is something very on-trend on the runways. Using fingers instead of brushes for styling creates a more natural look, the ease with intention is the key to a successful messy hair do. Check out below how to achieve this right off the runway look.
GET THE LOOK
1. Starting with dry hair, use a blow dryer to briefly dry hair around the hairline to create a clean line.
2. Spray Redken wind blown 05 dry finishing spray all throughout hair for added volume and texture.
3.Using your fingers, create a clean middle part and pull hair back into a low ponytail. Secure hair with an elastic.
4. Generously spray ponytail with Redken wind blown 05 dry finishing spray for added grip and an airy texture. Gently pull hair on sides of the head and top of ponytail to release tension and create a subtle lift.
5. Twist the ponytail into a loose, low knot and secure with several pins, leaving out the ends to create a messy finished look. Lightly mist the knot and hairline once more with Redken wind blown 05 dry finishing spray for added structure. Pull out small strands of hair around the face to loosen the finished look.
Gigi Hadid’s Party Plait

It wasn’t just the runways that were killing it with hairstyles. Gigi Hadid in attendance at the Sports Illustrated party looked effortlessly cool in her centre braid and loosely curled waves. Sam Burnett of KMS California Global Style Council told us how to easily recreate the look in a matter of minutes. After all, doesn’t everyone want to look like the world’s most loved supermodel?
GET THE LOOK
1. Start by taking a triangle section from the top of the ears to below the crown and leave the rest of the hair loose.
2. Add some KMS California HAIRPLAY Playable Texture on the top section for some extra hold and texture.
3. Start at the front hairline and separate the hair into 3 large sections.
4. Scalp braid the hair back to the crown, making sure to take the sections under the braid to achieve height and secure with an elastic.
5. Finish my misting the hair with KMS California HAIRSTAY Anti Humidity Seal to shield hair from becoming frizzy.
Jason Wu

Jason Wu’s Autumn/Winter 2016 collection was focused on elegance and intricute tailoring in his clothing. To offset this style, the hair for the show wanted a fresh and youthful appearance. The undone ends add a raw element to the look while the side wave is added to pay homage 1940’s Hollywood glamour while still maintaining that high brow/low brow feeling. The result is a look that stylist Paul Hanlonusing of Moroccanoil calls “raw, contemporary, easy, and organic”.
GET THE LOOK:
1. Prep the hair using Moroccanoil Volumizing Mousse and comb through with your fingers.
2. Start to add texture into hair by creating waves using a hair dryer. Apply Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray section by section, if needed, to help create texture. For curly hair, use a styling iron to soften the texture.
3. Using your fingers, comb hair into a messy side part. Next, use a styling iron to the front section of hair to create a finger wave effect.
4. Comb the hair using a wide tooth comb and set the hair with flat clips. Use Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray as needed to secure the hair. Create a wave on the other side as well and set it with flat clips. It is important that the waves are not clean and perfect but should read as “broken.”
5. Go over hair with a blow dryer to keep the shape compact and to control the volume on the ends.
6. Define the ends using Moroccanoil Treatment Light to add separation. Use Moroccanoil Treatment Original on dry hair to achieve the same texture.
7. Finish with Moroccanoil Glimmer Shine to add a layer of shine and protection to the hair.
