Charlotte Olympia’s shoe collection at London Fashion week, titled “Let’s Go Bananas” was playful, glamorous, and plenty of fun. The flashy shoes and accessories were shown off by models clad in pale yellow and shimmering gold in a choreographed show evocative of Broadway dancers.
Who better than legendary hair stylist, Sam McKnight to create the hair look for the show? A man of many talents, McKnight also created the futuristic hair look for the Anya Hindmarch’s LFW show. McKnight created old Hollywood inspired waves using products from Batiste and Cloud Nine and offers expert advice to get the look yourself.
Get the Look:
Step 1: Prep hair with mousse and blow dry with a round brush and Cloud Nine The Airshot Hairdryer.
Step 2: Wrap small sections of dry hair in Cloud Nine The O heated rollers, working from the crown forward, with rows on each side and one down the middle (aim for 5-6 rollers in each row) .
Step 3: Once cooled, remove rollers from hair and spritz Batiste Stylist Hydrate Me Oil Mist on fingers, running them through the ends to keep hair smooth.
Step 4: Lightly mist hair with Batiste Stylist Hold Me Hairspray, then brush out curls so they fall into waves.
Step 5: Rock long waves, or move onto step 6
Step 6: Section hair into three large sections, rolling inwards towards the nape of the neck. Pin to resemble a faux bob and finish with a light mist of Batiste Stylist Hydrate Me Oil Mist for extra gloss.
Batiste products are available online, and at Boots nationwide. Find Cloud Nine products online and at a salon near you.
