Gap announced a new collection yesterday afternoon, in collaboration with GQ’s “The Best New Menswear Designers in America” program. The collection is celebrating the 10th anniversary of GQ’s program (and its fifth year partnering with Gap). GQ’s Best New Menswear Designers in America project was established in 2007 to promote up-and-coming American menswear designers. The four designers contributing to this year’s collection— Michael Bastian, Saturdays NYC, John Elliot and Steven Alan— are “all-stars” in the GQ program, brought on for the anniversary edition to make the collection “its own declaration, a snapshot of the state of American fashion” according to GQ editor-in-chief Jim Nelson.
The collection features something for every style and every budget, making it “instantly wearable and easily attainable” said Nelson. Pieces include tailored trousers and denim, overcoats, tees, sweatshirts, button down shirts and men’s accessories ranging from about £15 to over £400.
Keep your eyes peeled for a feature on the collection in the October 2016 issue of GQ; the collection goes on sale 27 September in select Gap stores and on gap.com
