With a sparkling blue pool, tranquil terrace seating and food by Michelin starred chef Joël Robuchon all enclosed in a custom space designed by Karl Lagerfeld, Odyssey at Monaco’s Hôtel Métropole Monte-Carlo is a spectacular place to drink and dine in private. Up until now, it was only open to residents of the hotel and members of Hotel Métropole ESPA spa. But in honor of its first anniversary, Odyssey will open its doors to non-resident guests every night at 7:30 p.m., running through September 6.
Guests who visit Odyssey at night can enjoy drinks and a full menu created by Robuchon and inspired by the flavors of the Mediterranean, and lounge by the restaurant’s pool as the sun sets. After dark, the space comes alive with a specially lit mural depicting the mythical journey of Ulysses, designed by Lagerfeld himself. Guests of the hotel and ESPA members can visit Odyssey during the day as well for spa treatments and light dishes by Robuchon including grilled salmon skewers with mango tagliatelle, club smoked salmon and cucumber rapee and tiramisu marscapone and cacao. We went for cocktails, which are super indulgent and unlike any you’ve seen in any bar, each one arrives looking like a work of art. The staff look immaculate in there designer uniforms, it’s a really lovely opportunity to dress up and pose around the pool to people watch. We spotted all the new Chanel collection on guests as they floated in dripping with diamonds and you just know they had a black Amex tucked away in that Chanel 2.55 padded pouch. If you are nearby you should definitely glam up and go visit.
Another perk for non-resident guests of Odyssey is their new summer spa package, which includes a one hour facial treatment, a one hour body care and beauty treatment, a wellness lunch and access to the hotel’s fitness center for €415. Reservations for Odyssey can be made by calling +377 93 15 13 70 or visiting the Hôtel Métropole Monte-Carlo’s website.
