At the Beauty and the Dirt headquarters – we have our lovely Debbie, who has been through chemotherapy treatment earlier this year – and we want to make sure she carries on feeling beautiful on the outside as much as the person she is on the inside. So after going through some difficult times, and slowly regaining her hairs back, it was lovely to see her reaction after I got these gorgeous Eylure Individual Lashes (£4.54) on her…

Here, I wanted to show how it looked applying these individual lashes, and illustrate the step-by-step process, which is easy and has a lovely and natural outcome. The lashes are feathery in texture , and have no strip, which makes them look a lot more real. I applied a little MAC Cosmetics Pro Longwear Rich Experience Brown Eye Liner (£16.50) to Debbie’s eyes first, on the top and a little on the bottom as shown, to give her a lash line and to give a little more definition at the base for when I applied the lashes.
There are a selection of different lengths to choose from, I mainly used the longer ones on the outer corner of the eye and shorter ones towards the inner corner..with mixing it up a little at the same time too. I used DUO Glue (£9.99 from LookFantastic) with these – so Debbie could easily and softly remove them at the end of the day. I squeezed a little glue out on a surface, and lightly dipped the bases of the lashes into the glue (so they dry quicker), and carefully placed them onto the eyelid with my fingertips. It’s a little fiddly – but you get used to it once you’ve done a few!
