Following his role as the Joker in Suicide Squad, Jared Leto is in no hurry to hang up his acting hat. The lead singer of 30 Seconds to Mars has landed himself yet another big role, starring opposite Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford in the new Blade RunnerĀ sequel.
We think Blade Runner just got a little bit more interesting. Not only is the upcoming sequel going to feature some of the biggest names in Hollywood: Ryan Gosling, Harrison Ford, Robin Wright and Ana de Armans, but the cast is not being joined by Jared Leto according to reports.
The film is still in its infancy so there’s not much to go by on what to expect from the plot but what we do know is that it will be set several decades after the original, with Harrison Ford in the role of Rick Deckard. Other speculations have surfaced that Gosling will be playing a detective, while Robin Wright will be an android. No reports on Leto’s role yet either, but there’s a possibility he will be an android too.
Directing the film is Denis Villeneuve, who directed upcoming movie Arrival, starring Amy Adams. It’s release date it thought to be October 2017.
