When it comes to their pin-up girls, Maybelline tend to be fairly picky. They eschew the TV talent and media belles in favour of the modelling elite. Past faces of the beauty brand include the likes of Christy Turlington, Freha Beha Erichsen and Erin Wasson, hardly one hit wonders.
Brit bombshell Jourdan Dunn is the latest lucky one to be asked to be the new face of Maybelline. She’s no stranger to the beauty world, with campaigns for Burberry beauty and YSL already under her belt. Now she will be fronthing the Maybelline campaign for their new Go Extreme Mascara.

Jourdan said of her new venture ‘It is an honour to be a spokesperson for such an iconic brand. I am proud the say that I am a Maybelline girl and hopefully I can make people feel the same way I did when I saw the advertisements growing up. The brand imagery is always beautiful and positive. To now be a part of that is a dream come true!’
Evidently the beauty brand are just as enthusiastic about their new poster girl. Global Brand President of Maybelline New York, Jerome Bruhat said ‘Jourdan’s look, style and positive energy are perfect for the Maybelline New York Brand. She truly reflects Maybelline’s vision of global beauty’.
We anticipate a little flutter of pride when we finally see her ads hitting the TV ad break spaces and billboards.
