Karl Lagerfeld has done it again, this time ‘Karl-laborating’ with makeup brand Shu Uemura, on a special holiday beauty collection. Karl has used Shu Uemura for more than 20 years—but not in the traditional sense. He uses the Japanese brand’s products to hand-coloring his design illustrations claiming, “other manufacturers do not offer such beautiful colors”.
Lagerfeld himself selected the colors and packaging, and has already photographed the accompanying campaign, and is said to reflect the designer’s “iconic, ironic style”. The product launch is set to feature cutesy makeup-brush cases, costume-ready eyelashes, vibrant eye-shadow palettes and even printed nail stickers.
