Liza Minnelli is a musical saint. We all know that. But did you realise it has been forty years since the debut of her Oscar-winning performance in “Cabaret”? Last night she returned to the Ziegfeld Theatre where the music was unleashed four decades ago in 1972.
The 40th anniversary screening brought together Minnelli and her on-screen pals Joel Grey, Marisa Berenson and Michael York. The event was also a celebration of the Tuesday release of Cabaret on Blu-ray by Warner Bros. Home Entertainment. Director Bob Fosse would be proud!
