Birchbox‘s new in-house makeup brand LOC (Love Of Color) has officially landed and we got to sample the products here at the Beauty and the Dirt office. LOC is a cruelty-free range of creamy high pigment shadows and super bold matte lipsticks, with on-trend shades to keep us up to date.
The products come at a budget friendly price and are the perfect compact size too – ideal to pop into your makeup bags (I have done with mine already).
In this collection there are two One & Done Eyeshadow Sticks (£8) available, the first a warm copper tone (which you can see demo’d here) in Perfect Cents and a silvery nude highlight colour called Champagne Problems (which I have actually used as a cupids bow highlight today…perfect).
The Vibrant Matte Lipsticks (£6.50) come in three shades, from a deep plum to pinky nude. The texture is soft and velvety, feels comfortable on the lips and leaves great colour deposit. I LOVE how these twist-up lipsticks are so narrow; they are so much easier to get a good shape because of this (into the corners of your mouth is so much easier) for a perfect lippy every time without the necessity of needing a liner.
What with lovely dark vampy lips making loads of appearances during the AW16 fashion week shows – we particularly have an obsession with one shade called Uncorked. How about mixing up Uncorked with Trouble for a Mary Katranzou style lipstick shade?
