Made In Brasil, Boteco is a new restaurant/bar to join the other fabulous places to eat and drink in Camden on Chalk Farm Road. We paid it a visit to see what the atmosphere was like, hope for good service and above all to try out the all new tapas and cocktail menu . First of all the restaurant/bar is decorated in true Brazilian style, bright and colourful, you can’t miss it.
We went on a Wednesday night and were really happy to see that a live band were playing Brazilian music to add to the atmosphere and as it was really great weather so we sat on the roof terrace (apparently a Friday night is the best time to go as the bar gets pretty packed and the atmosphere and buzz is amazing).

So, what did we have?

There’s a long list of drinks and cocktails on the menu which we spent a while pouring over, in the end we went with a Passion Fruit Caipirinha- Velho Barreiro Cachaça, white sugar, muddled fresh lime and passion fruit puree served over crushed ice and a Very Berry Caipirinha – Velho Barreiro Cachaça, brown sugar, muddled fresh lime, raspberry, blackberry and strawberry puree, with a float of crème de mure served over crushed ice. Both of which were fruity and fresh but don’t drive afterwards as they are quite strong!
They recommend for the tapas you have 4-6 dishes between two, so we went all out with 6 which was more than enough. Here is some of the things we had, it was all very tasty:

This brownie was incredible! The waiters were really accommodating and talked us through anything we didn’t understand on the menu, so don’t feel afraid to ask. We would definitely go back for round two but as I said on a Friday when it gets more lively. If it’s warm enough eat on the terrace while listening to the great Brazilian band and you can almost imagine you are in Brazilia!
