MAKE-UP SPOTLIGHT: bareMinerals Blemish Remedy Foundation
This September bareMinerals are releasing the newest addition to their Foundation range, ‘Blemish Remedy Foundation’.
This new mineral-powered foundation is formulated to be non-drying and gentle on skin whilst also effectively reducing the appearance of any imperfections such as redness, pores and blemishes. Having tried out the foundation its claim to be weightless definitely rings true as it smooths skin without feeling like you have layers and layers of makeup on to do so. It covers redness and reduces the appearance of pores, leaving skin looking flawless and glowing.
The foundation also contains the ingredients Aspen Bark and Tea Tree Oil which encourage clearer looking skin as they hydrate and smooth the skins surface. Tea tree oil contains antibacterial properties stimulating cleaner, healthier looking skin. ‘Blemish Remedy’ had a medium coverage which can be built up to high coverage if preferred and is available in 12 different shades, offering options for cool, neutral and golden tones.
To apply the foundation it is advised to use the new Seamless Buffing Brush made with soft, synthetic fibres in order to provide a flawless finish and buildable coverage. The foundation is beautifully packaged with a mesh insert in order to control the amount of powder that is put on the brush and it also acts as a barrier for bacteria, protecting the powder underneath. Compared to other loose powder foundations this design means that it is easier to use on the go as all the powder cannot escape at once and so provides a less messy experience.
The UK press launch was a California Road Trip themed event at the bareMinerals HQ in London. The space was decorated with a pink toned path that you could follow, going through all of the brands history of foundations. Beauty and the Dirt attended this event and had a great time finding out about the newest product in their range and testing it out too.
