I was at the Farmers Market in Melrose Place, West Hollywood (a little sad to find that the Isabel Marant store did not have a sale) when I came across a tiny but vibrant shop called Moon Juice. I’m a fool for a Turmeric smoothie and a Mango Coconut lassi, but once I was in the shop, I realised it was more than just cold pressed juices and vegan moon milks.
Moon Juice is a plant sourced alchemy based in Ayurvedic Principles and intended to nourish and elevate body, beauty and self. Moon Juice was created by Amanda Chantal Bacon, a world traveling chef and pioneer of holistic lifestyle. When I found out more about her, I was hooked. She started off wanting to heal herself from a hypothyroid condition. She decided to change her diet because wheat, sugar and cow dairy do not help such a condition. And I should know, I have the same condition. So if I can have delicious juice that helps of course I’m going to but it’s more than that.
What I was very excited for is her Moon Dust. There are several of them and they come in either sample sachets or pots for $30. You can get Brain Dust, which has in it Rhodiola and Ginkgo, which I already take but add to that Maca, Lions Mane and something called Shilajt. Brain Dust is a powder you can add to juice or tea or make as a tea. It’s designed to energise your brain and get you into a superior state of clarity and creativity and I love it. I may even have to go back for Sex Dust. Sex Dust is a formula alchemised to ignite your sexy self. It’s also good for balancing the monthly cycle and sending you waves of power in all the right places. Who doesn’t want Sex Dust and Brain Dust to enhance their lives?
Check our Moon Juice next time you’re in Hollywood, you’ll be so glad you did. If you’re not travelling any time soon, you can get Moon Dust from moonjuiceshop.com.
