Based on a true story, Woman in Gold tells the tale of Maria Altmann (Helen Mirren) who wishes to regain what rightfully belongs to her family – a painting of her aunt by one of Austria’s most famous artist taken by the Nazis in World War II. In order to accomplish this, she seeks help from a young lawyer, Randol Schoenberg (Ryan Reynolds) and they decide to sue the Austrian government to get justice, once and for all.
