Thomas Hardy’s 1874 classic Far From The Madding Crowd is set to be brought to life on the big screen next year by Thomas Vinterberg. Carey Mulligan leads the cast playing Bathsheba Everdene, and is accompanied by the likes of Michael Sheen, Tom Sturridge and Matthias Schoenaert.
It’s a romantic tale of a girl in the unique position of having choices and different paths to follow in nineteenth century England. Set in Dorset, the landscape is as much a character of the film as the actors themselves, making for some incredible shots.
