Johnny Depp dons a perfectly manicured mustache for his role as the title character in Mortdecai, the comic crime caper based on a series of novels by Kyril Bonfiglioli. In the first trailer, we get a look at Depp’s debonair art dealer as he sets off on a manic quest to find a stolen painting rumored to contain a code to a back account filled with lost Nazi gold. Depp has a successful track record with playing confident, womanizing characters (a certain pirate captain, anyone?) so we can’t wait to see what quirks he brings to the screen this time.
Gwyneth Paltrow stars as Mortdecai’s wife Johanna, with Ewan McGregor, Aubrey Plaza, Olivia Munn, Paul Bettany and Jeff Goldblum rounding out the star-studded cast.
