My Name Is Lenny is the latest film based on the true story of Britain’s most notorious bareknuckle fighter: Lenny McLean, played by Josh Helman.
Many would have heard of The Guv’nor – the notorious London criminal who swept fear over East London and no wonder as he was known as “the hardest man in Britain.” He was a boxer, bouncer, criminal, prisoner, author, businessman, bodyguard, enforcer, weightlifter, television presenter and actor – talk about a man of many talents… no matter how unethical.
The film will take us through his life, from his troubled and violent childhood to his early fighting years. It’ll show his loving yet aggressively violent relationships and bitter rivalry with Roy Shaw (UFC Middleweight Champion Michael Bisping).
