Noah (Russell Crowe) witnesses visions that tell him that the end of the world is upon them if humans do not stop mistreating the earth they live on. Noah makes efforts to relay this to his people, asking them to change the way they live in order that they all be saved. No one heeds his warnings and they exile both Noah and his family to the wilderness. Gone are the ‘animals in two by two’ images of the famous Biblical tale. Darren Aronofsky’s film takes the narrative and places it in an unforgiving Medieval-esque land. .
Directed by Darren Aronofsky, and featuring Russell Crowe, Jennifer Connelly, Ray Winstone, Emma Watson, Anthony Hopkins and Logan Lerman, NOAH is set for UK release on 28 March 2014.
