How to start eating your pizza like a true New-Yorker. Well, let’s start off by slowly putting the knife and fork down. Cutlery is out of the question and folding is the way forward!
Now we have the chance to experience authentic New York pizza culinary, thanks to Bruno Difabio, who has 10 artisan pizzerias across the US, and also known as ‘Pizza King’ (we love him already) & is opening his first pizzeria for us in London this July.
NY Fold will be located on Charing Cross Road and will be offering to us some great value, and award winning pizzas. With that – there will also be a range of foccacia sandwiches, freshly-made pasta, salads, desserts and of course, a selection of American beers to accompany your food.
NY Fold pizzas will be one of a kind, they even have a secret dough recipe made from a two-part fermentation process where the dough is aged for a minimum of 48 hours. This makes the base light, crisp and airy and most importantly – easy to fold.
The toppings promise to be superior too with freshly made tomato sauce, lots of herbs and spices to add flavour and 60-day aged mozzarella from Caserta, Italy.
Big Daddy is their signature pizza – with spinach, artichoke hearts, garlic, white onion, mozzarella and a touch of lemon all blended into a creamy concoction.
Oh, our mouths are watering already. We can’t wait to pay them a visit them in July.
