So you might have noticed we go crazy for all things beauty here at Beauty and the Dirt, but we also love our fashion too. We we’re happy to see that this years Golden Globe awards did not disappoint on that front.
We’ve spotted a few of the ladies in to die for gowns and you just can’t get more glam than this…
Ruth Negga looked stunning in a Louis Vuitton sequin dress on the Golden Globes red carpet. In an interview, Hollywood super stylist, Karla Welch, revealed: “It’s a custom piece made in the very special atelier in Paris. Nicolas Ghesquiere [Vuitton’s creative director] designed the dress for her.”
Welch went on to say: “We just wanted an awesome dress – what I love about working with Ruth is that we can do a lot of different things but they feel very authentic to who she is. She loves the process but it’s actually really easy. It’s so good to be a little more free and not get too stressed out.”
We thought Natalie Portman looked stunning as always; taking her on-screen Jackie vibes to the carpet in a simple, yet elegant gown by Prada. We loved the subtle and luxe embroidery and sequin detail on the sleeves and bottom of the dress, and her cute little baby bump just added the perfect finishing touches.
Golden Globe winner, Emma Stone looked like a star in her cosmic silver and pink gown by Valentino. The dress complemented her porcelain skin perfectly and the elegant diamond pendant around her neck completed the whole look.
Blake Lively was another one of our faves. The actress wore a velour gown by Atelier Versace with silver detail and pockets and emerald green cuffs. With her husband Ryan Reynolds up for a Golden Globe, the stunning beauty somehow managed to upstage the Hollywood hunk, but we’re sure he didn’t mind too much.
Jessica Biel also took our breath away in this unique Ellie Saab gown. She also opted for a splash of velour on the bodice part of the dress and a monochrome skirt with 3D floral detailing. One thing that did disappoint about this look we’re the shoes as we were not massive fans of the chunky strap heel – maybe some silver strap stilettos would have worked better in our opinion.
