It’s rumored to be one of Netflix’s most expensive projects to date, new Netflix original show, The Crown, is based on the award-winning play The Audience by Peter Morgan.
The brand new Netflix Original Drama premieres today, Friday 4th October, and it will tell the life of Queen Elizabeth II (Claire Foy) from the 1940’s to modern times.
It’s reported that the series opens up with an inside look at the early reign of our beloved Queen, who ascended the throne at the age of 25, following the death of her father, King George VI.
The original drama will show Elizabeth’s life through the decades – from her personal intrigues and romances to her political rivalries that played a massive role in shaping the 20th century.
