I’m still dreaming of Maskorea sheet masks after I reviewed them in November. With Christmas party season in full-swing, your complexion could certainly benefit from a little extra love. Maskorea’s Too Many Late Nights mask is perfect to refresh dehydrated skin if you’ve had a little too much fun…
As winter rolls in, skin can take a beating from late night parties, travel to see loved ones and the effects of stress and aging. Maskorea face masks are mini at-home spa treatments to help melt away the toll of daily stress and leave you with instantly refreshed skin. The products provide some key benefits of a spa facial, at home, for a fraction of the price!
The line is inspired by a traditional South Korean 12-step skin care routine—but who has time for 12 steps?! Instead, Maskorea created a convenient three step treatment of pre-mask cleanser, serum-infused sheet mask and post-mask anti-ageing night cream. The products are pre-portioned to make sure you use the exact right amount of product, and the three step routine extends the benefits beyond just the time you’re wearing the mask. The sheet mask itself is made from Tencel, a naturally breathable, soft and eco-friendly fabric that gives Maskorea a more luxurious feel than masks made from cotton. There are three different masks to target different skin issues: Instant Glow for dull skin, Too Many Late Nights for tired & dehydrated skin and Turn Back The Clocks for loose or wrinkled skin.
Last night, I tried out the Instant Glow Sheet Mask designed that aims to brighten and even out the complexion while hydrating skin. The cleanser was pleasant and foamed up to remove surface impurities before the mask. The mask itself felt a little slimy to the touch, but felt very soothing when I applied it to my face. It was large enough to cover my entire face and stayed in place after I applied it. It hugged the contours of my face so no area was left untouched. The mask had to stay on for thirty minutes, a bit longer than most I’ve tried before. But unlike masks I’ve used in the past- this one didn’t dry out or feel uncomfortable after I’d had it on for a bit.
After the prescribed thirty minutes, I removed the mask. The instructions state to apply the night cream over any residue left from the mask (no rinsing allowed) and leave on all night. As someone who doesn’t regularly use night cream, it felt funny going to bed with so much product on my face (it didn’t immediately absorb into my skin) but I could definitely feel the hydration.
I woke up this morning and continued with my beauty routine as usual. After washing my face with my regular cleanser, I noticed my skin felt very soft and smooth and does seem a lot more radiant, even through makeup. The verdict: a new skincare staple (with a tiny price tag!), and I can’t wait to get my hands on more.
Maskorea Sheet Masks are available at maskoreamasks.com for £4.99 each (or a weekly subscription of £3.25/week)
