Rice Pudding when it’s chilled and has something sweet and tasty stirred in has to be one of our favourite desserts. So we were happy (very happy) when Muller Rice asked us to try out their new Muller Rice Remix Greek Inspired dessert pots – complete with their split-pot compote sauce.

This new rice pudding has taken the traditional Greek rice pudding dish called Rizogalo and given it a whole new spin. The two basic ingredients in Rizogalo are rice (rizi) and milk (gala) and Muller have added their own take with a hint of cinnamon. You can also choose between a smooth apple or strawberry compote to complete. These are all pretty simple ingredients that have been used in Greek cooking for centuries, giving boundless energy to take you through busy days, and wild nights.
We found these refreshingly tasty; the creamy rice pudding is delicious alone – and then you add the compote, the apple flavour was like eating apple pie, with that hint of cinnamon adding a real depth. The strawberry one being the more sweet and succulent flavour – and just as yummy!

They are perfect when chilled – which is how we like them, but are also filling too, keeping us going right up until dinner time.
