With the sun finally peaking out of the dreary British skies, we are at that weird point in England where we don’t know if it’s quite time to whip out the sunnies or put on a heavy winter scarf instead. We say go for the shades. Not only are sunglasses stylish, but they protect our eyes and the skin around them from dangerous UV rays, it’s a win-win. We put together some of the best and brightest styles of sunglasses for spring straight from the runways and Hollywood hills. Find your favorites below!
Tortoise Shell

We love a classic pair of tortoise shell sunglasses to transition our eye wardrobe from winter to spring. Not only is this design timeless, but the color palette is utterly useful. Featuring both black and brown in it’s design, these shades go with just about anything, including our winter and spring wardrobes, how convenient! Our favorite part about tortoise shell sunnies, however, is that you can find them in just about every style, from chunky square shades to classic Clubmasters.
Cat Eye

The ultimate glamour shades, cat eye sunglasses have been everywhere recently, especially on the runways. What we like about cat eye sunglasses is that there are so many different varieties of the cat eye style that you can find one to fit every face shape. You can chose to go dramatic with chrome and pastel cat eye sunnies, or classic with a pair of thick-rimmed black sunglasses, both adding completely different looks to an outfit. We can wait to experiment with cat eye styles ourselves.
Circular

All you need is love with these Lennon-like shades. Circular sunnies have been the festival essential this past year, with chrome circular sunglasses being the top pick. We’ve seen celebs like Kendall Jenner and Alessandra Ambrosio sporting the more classic Ray Ban Round shades, where as the new tortoise chrome Gatsby shades by Ray Ban have yet to make it on a famous Instagram, but we think it’s only a matter of time. From beetle eyes with Beatles shades, to partying like Gatsby, circular sunnies are definitely a great way to go for spring sunglasses.
Futuristic

The most popular inspiration for the futuristic shades trend comes from French fashion house Dior, in the way of the Dior So Real sunglasses. Worn by everyone from Selena Gomez to Kris Jenner, and Fergie to Hilary Duff, these celebrity favorites are out of this world. Available in a variety of colors, both with chrome and regular lenses, we love the new age style of these sunnies complete with an arched wire brow bar providing an architectural feel. These glasses are sure to be interpreted by the high street soon and become the sunnies of summer soon enough. We can’t wait.
All of these sunglasses can be found at sunglassesshop.co.uk.
