It’s a given tennis players have insane tan lines, whether they like them or not. Let me rephrase that…whether we like them or not. They haven’t become a trend quite yet… But for red carpet events, there are ways to cover those sock tans, ladies!

I was snooping around WTA’s website for pictures from the WTA Pre-Wimbledon Party held 25 June. As I was scrolling through pictures, I gasped and yelled, “OH MY GOSH.” I was not expected to be blinded by Zheng Saisai’s feet! While it may’ve been a poor decision to wear black shoes Saisai could’ve opted for a different shoes…or a self tan.
There are plenty of self tan products on the market. For an instant result, Saisai should’ve used Glow Getter by Soap & Glory. It delivers an instant tan and washes off. It’s long wearing and streak free with a really lovely scent. No need to even rub it in, just spray over your skin from a distance for an even coverage.
Christina McHale has also fallen victim to the infamous sock tan that targets tennis players. I really think that if Saisai and McHale would’ve worn different shoes, their tans would hardly be noticeable. With black heels, they’re bringing attention to their feet. Besides, it’s summer and it’s warm, sandals are allowed!

Another quick fix to cover sock tans are strappy or patterned sandals and heels. They avert the focus from the tan to the detail of the shoe. Garbine Muguruza expertly camouflaged her tan with her bright strappy sandals. All the color really compliments her golden tan also.
