We’ve wondered at the dresses, poured over the new makeup looks and hairstyles…although there’s less of that going in the area we’re angling our attention at the moment. Cannes wise that is. It’s all about Cannes this month. You may have noticed. And this week we’ve had some rather delightful sightings of the Hollywood men folk.

We’re going to put it out there. It’s controversial. But Mr Reynolds might just be our favourite of ‘The Ryans’. He’s tall, suave, apparently a real good guy, aaand we can try and forget that his wife just happens to be one of the most beautiful women gracing the Cannes red carpets this year. Have we noticed a smattering of grey hairs making their way into his look too? He could be set for some George Clooney, silver fox-esque notoriety.

And it’s Ryan number 2! Smouldering in all his brooding glory. He always looks as though he knows something, faintly amusing, that you don’t doesn’t he? Slightly disconcerting, though it doesn’t do anything to harm his reputation. He’s constantly amongst the best-dressed lists, and this Cannes season, it seems, will be no exception.

Matt Smith, most famed for his Dr Who portrayal and relationship with Daisy Lowe, took to the red carpets, a vision of blue and plaid.

And then there’s Robert Pattinson. We’d call him the marmite of the movie star men. He’s got a fiercely loyal following that have stuck with him throughout his Twilight days, and they don’t seem to have left him. His rugged (or some may say scruffy) looks have garnered him another genre of enthusiasts, especially with the edgy roles he seems to be taking on of late.

And then we have the tuxedos. Mark Ruffalo, Channing Tatum and Steve Carell. What a group.
