This past weekend at The South by Southwest (SXSW) Conference & Festival – a ten day long event that offers a blend of music, film and interactive media all in one creative space, the Ipsos Girls’ Lounge hit the right notes once again.

They’re known as the go-to destination at industry conferences the world over in the advertising, marketing, media, research and technology fields. They’re fields where women tend to thrive, yet statistics prove women are still often the minority within them.
The Ipsos Girls’ Lounge goal is to “advocate, support and ignite sparks that drive real change” within women, for women and by women.
The Ipsos Girls’ Lounge was created to break the stereotypes surrounding women, and by setting out a ‘girls only’ space in these large conference settings they bring support, and a good dose of fun.

Generally, the best way to get our minds sparking is with a bit of girly pampering right? Of course. So The Ipsos Girls’ Lounge at SXSW included a daily ‘Beauty Bar’ for hair and makeup styling, ‘Pamper Your Pumps’ for foot reflexology and ‘Confidence Coaching’ where women can learn to be the best they can be.
As for the main events, there were talks on authenticity and changing image – important conversations were had about women and being a woman, with women.
The Ipsos Girls’ Lounge has been a hub of ideas, beauty indulgences, relaxation and forward thinking amidst the exciting hubbub of the SXSW Conference and Festival.
