I was missing my Hungarian friend when I was in Liberty’s and that’s the only reason that I stopped by the Omorovicza counter where I was told about Budapest’s healing waters and the mineral delivery system used in these products.
I saw, coincidentally, that there was quite a buzz about the skin lifting and skin tinting. There were rave reviews about the complexion protector with an SPF20. Boasts about how it moisturises and colour blends with your natural skin tone adding a youthful glow.
At the time I was sprayed with the hydrating mist, also with SPF. I liked it enough to return for a facial.
The facial room is hidden away inside a secret wall at Liberty’s. It’s walnut wood art deco with a silver leaf ceiling. Apparently Queen Mary used it as a room to try on her jewels. And rather fittingly, the product that the rather marvellous facialist recommended for me was the Gold Flash Firming Serum. It had instant rejuvenating tightening qualities and works well on pigmentation.
The facial was itself a wonder. Omorovicza has a special way of massaging puffiness and fine lines away. I went in tired, I came out fresh.
The facialist recommended the Rose Lifting Serum and Instant Plumping Cream as a night-time regime. And for dry skin she was keen on the rejuvenating night cream.
All the products were impressive. For a start they smell exquisitely of the earth. The creams and serums go on easily and are drunk quickly by the skin.
I’m taking my hydrating mist with me on my long flight to LA and determining that I won’t have that grey sagging face with all the life sucked out of it.
Apparently we’ve known about the curative properties of Budapest’s thermal waters for 2,000 years and only today have these properties been harnessed, bringing the ancient to the ultra modern. It made me think that a relaxing stay at Budapest’s ancient thermal baths would be super effective.
The founders of Omorovicza developed ‘mineral cosmetology’, an apparently pioneering patented delivery system of how you get the minerals into the skin.
After I find myself raving about the results I see that Omorovicza is loved by many beauty editors and it’s THE buzz product line. Without knowing any of this I tried it and can add to the buzz. The range is so extensive each potion cream serum is a gem.
For me the Gold Flash Firming Serum is a miracle worker. I’m also loving the Thermal Cleansing Balm. It is black in its little pot but goes on the skin in a happy almost juicy way leaving it super soft and dewy radiant.
