Get your model walks ready, ladies because this Sunday, 21st July, Regent Street is holding a 100-metre catwalk show – and you could be the star. Thanks, in part, to the Victoria and Albert Museum, members of the public are invited to hit the runway and stop traffic – literally.
In lieu of celebrating individual style, the V&A has replaced the busy streets which are usually bristling with London’s iconic double-decker buses, tourists and black cabs, with a panel of knowledgable judges and are asking Londoners (and London visitors alike), to take to the catwalk, showcasing your style in front of the crowds.
Divided into six different categories: Streetwear, sportswear, wedding, elegance, Sunday best and anything goes, a winner from each will be chosen and awarded goodie bags.
The Street Is My Catwalk, Regents Street, 29th July from 1 pm – 5.30 pm in association with the Victoria & Albert Museum.
